POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Administration Student Employee is a key member in supporting daily office coordination. Student employees will also be called upon to provide on demand customer service to staff, vendors and community members. These duties will include filing, data entry, assisting with creation and organization of project files, copying, scanning, meeting set up and preparation. This position requires a person who is outgoing, a solid communicator, flexible and can positively represent the college.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Provide on demand customer service to those needing assistance.
  • Answer phone calls in a positive and professional manner.
  • Be a positive ambassador for the department.

ASSISTING FULL TIME STAFF:

  • Daily office operations - file organization, data entry, utilizing Microsoft Office to support daily office activities
  • Assist with setting up and coordinating meetings
  • General support to the Facilities Administration Manager
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Interest in researching and applying technology for streamlined solutions to everyday challenges
  • Assist all areas of the department when the need arises

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to assist customers when needed.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and working accurately is highly important.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment and machines, including but not limited to, printers, scanners, phones, and computers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous customer service experience helpful.
  • Commitment to uphold the office's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Must be enrolled at Delta College and registered and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours during employment.
