Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Annapolis offers the Food and Beverage Manager-in-Training Program to recent graduates. The MIT will spend 12 months immersing themselves in all areas of the Food and Beverage discipline, building a foundation for a long-term career with HEI.

Shadow leaders, rotate through Outlets and Banquets, attend leadership meetings, learn PMS and labor tools, and develop guest-service and cost-control skills for future advancement.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the leaders within all Outlets, Banquets and Culinary departments.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Outlets at the hotel and in the Banquets department.
• Attend department meetings within the Food and Beverage discipline and leadership meetings.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by F&B.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and resolve problems to maintain satisfaction.
• Understand steps of service for all meal periods.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
