Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is offering a Food and Beverage Manager-in-Training (MIT) program for recent graduates. You will shadow leaders across Outlets, Banquets and Culinary departments and rotate through every station within the hotel.

The 12-month program immerses you in all areas of Food & Beverage, building proficiency with PMS and related systems, and mastering labor-cost controls to prepare for a long-term career with HEI Hotels and Resorts.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with various audiences.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the leaders within all Outlets, Banquets and Culinary departments.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Outlets at the hotel and in the Banquets department.
• Consistently attend department meetings within the Food and Beverage discipline as well as leadership meetings.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by F&B.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and resolve problems to maintain high satisfaction.
• Understand steps of service for all meal periods.
• Ensure compliance with Food and Beverage SOPs and policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
