Job summary

LensCrafters in Columbia, SC is seeking a part-time EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring every patient receives the highest quality Optometric care and that the doctor and retail functions are seamlessly linked.

You will greet customers, explain required paperwork, tests, products and services, and support the Optometrist while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and accurate POS transactions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within 30 seconds of entering.
• Promptly answers the telephone (3 rings) in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Attentive to details; reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with Optician/Managing Doctor.
• Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
• Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant patient records.
• Places contact lens orders and processes shipments.
• Operates the POS system and handles payments.
• Ensures store displays align with company guidelines.
• Maintains safe working environment.
