Job summary

Warby Parker in New York is seeking all-around Optometric Technicians to work with our optometrists, delivering a stellar eye-exam experience. You will help manage a high volume of patients, perform pre-testing, and assist with contact lens training in a fast-paced retail setting.

You are a compassionate team player with multitasking skills, comfortable with technology, and eager to learn new medical applications. CPOT certification or training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with pre-testing and data collection.
• Ability to manage high patient volume.
• Familiarity with eye exam procedures and privacy rules.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, lensometry).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exams.
• Train staff on insertion/removal training for contact lenses.
• Assist with appointment confirmations and follow-ups to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/PIPEDA and company policy compliance.
• Prepare and maintain organized exam rooms and replenish supplies.
• Support the retail team as directed by the Store Leader.
