Job summary

Warby Parker in New York seeks Optometric Technicians to work with Optometrists, handling high patient volume, pre-testing, contact lens training, and data collection to keep eye exam operations running smoothly.

You will be the liaison between doctor and patient, support appointments and maintain records, with HIPAA compliance, and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced retail ophthalmic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment preferred, supporting doctors.
• Familiar with healthcare technology systems and equipment.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exams; provide lens training.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with reports to professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and store procedures.
