Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work alongside our optometrists in stores. You will help manage a high volume of patients, perform pre-testing, assist with video eye exams when available, and support new contact lens insertion/removal training.

You will maintain meticulous data records, help prepare reports for medical professionals, and ensure smooth patient flow while upholding HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting eye exams or clinical pre-testing is preferred.
• Able to follow HIPAA privacy policies and keep patient data secure.
• Strong communication with doctors, patients, and staff.
• Comfortable learning new medical software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists with pre-testing data collection and data entry.
• Support in-person and video eye exams where available.
• Provide contact lens insertion/removal training to patients.
• Maintain organized exam rooms and replenish supplies.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and help prepare reports as needed.
• Support the store team with patient flow and booking communications.
• Adhere to all regulations and store procedures including HIPAA.
