Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work closely with optometrists and store teams in a fast-paced, retail eye-care setting. You’ll perform pre-testing, assist with exams, and train new staff in lens insertion and removal, while ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a medical environment, familiarity with eyewear, and comfort with EMR systems. This is a full-time on-site role with comprehensive benefits and a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Experience with optometry, EMR systems, or related medical care.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, building rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection: autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, etc.
• Support in person and video-assisted eye exams; assist with contact lens training.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and clean, organized exam rooms.
