Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work in our New York stores, assisting optometrists and ensuring a smooth eye exam flow. You will perform pre-testing, collect data, and help with contact lens training while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

You will collaborate with doctors and store teams, manage records, and support appointment processes in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior optometry support and CPOT or technician training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician program or CPOT certification.
• Comfort with medical software and vision care technology.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection and tests.
• Support eye exam appointments and training for contact lens wearers.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and proper room maintenance.
• Assist retail team per Store Leader directions.
