Job summary

Stanton Optical, operating as Now Optics, seeks a Doctor’s Technician to be the friendly first touchpoint in-store, delivering outstanding customer service and guiding patients through sales while ensuring a smooth handoff from clinical services to the retail team.

You will greet patients, assist with pre-tests, schedule appointments, and support labs and retail operations, upholding brand standards and privacy. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or advanced certification beyond high school required or currently enrolled in comparable program.
• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to actively listen, build rapport, and empathize with patients.
• Proactive problem solving to address potential patients’ concerns or objections.
• Collaborative spirit with respectful, cordial relationships with team and patients.
• Results-driven with ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers entering the store, identify needs, promote products and services, and gather information to facilitate sales.
• Foster partnership between retail and professional services teams.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; enter patient history; perform pre-tests and basic eye exams as required.
• Assist management with patient complaint resolution and communicate status of all jobs.
• Maintain brand standards and housekeeping in store and lab areas.
• Edge stock lenses, assemble frames, and ensure timely delivery of eyeglasses.
• Notify management of equipment issues or order problems; ensure timely delivery to patients.
• Keep track of delivery times to meet commitments; perform other duties as assigned.
