Job summary

Mittleman Eye Center seeks a Surgical Coordinator to support the surgical department with administrative tasks for pre- and post-surgical operations. You will schedule cases, help operational flow, and manage post-op data to ensure smooth procedures.

The role requires strong organization, experience with EMR and MS Office, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining patient confidentiality. On-site work in West Palm Beach is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience.
• Associate degree or certification with 3+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration preferred with 1+ year experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to Surgical Manager.
• Manage paperwork for surgical procedures including consent forms and pre-op assessments.
• Coordinate scheduling to ensure timely surgical cases.
• Liaise among patients, surgical and admin staff to address inquiries.
• Provide post-op instructions and care information to patients.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient info, and billing.
• Adhere to confidentiality protocols for patient information.
