Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to manage patient scheduling and pre-operative preparations. You will coordinate surgical procedures, verify demographics and insurance, and act as the liaison among patients, surgeons, and hospitals to ensure a smooth experience.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced ophthalmology office. Training will cover EMR usage and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in ophthalmology or medical office is a plus.
• Customer service experience is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Schedule surgical procedures based on physician recommendations.
• Verify patient demographics, health history, and insurance information.
• Proficient in Care Cloud EMR scheduling system.
• Serve as liaison between patient, surgeons and hospital for pre-operative prep.
• Explain the need for physical exams, labs, EKG, chest X-ray and informed consent.
• Answer patient inquiries about surgery and related concerns.
• Follow up with physicians and labs to ensure test results are received.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company policies.
• Support a clean, welcoming environment for patients.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and related regulations.
