Job summary

SightMD is growing its ophthalmic services across multiple states and seeks a detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to streamline scheduling and communication for surgical procedures. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist with insurance verification and authorizations.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
• Proficiency with office software and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries related to surgical preparation.
• Confirm surgery dates and provide detailed pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
• Arrange patient transportation for surgical procedures or related appointments when needed.
• Address patient concerns and questions before and after surgical procedures.
• Schedule surgeries and coordinate pre-operative and post-operative appointments with ASCs and surgeons.
• Ensure all pre-operative documentation is collected, reviewed, and accurately documented.
