AVP•SEES Group seeks a Surgery Counselor to coordinate all aspects of ophthalmology surgical scheduling, acting as the liaison between patients, surgeons, and facilities. The role manages pre-operative and post-operative visits, authorizations, and patient education to ensure a seamless experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling accuracy, insurance coordination, and clear communication of costs and preparations, while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards and maintaining patient

Qualifikationen

• Two years of surgical scheduling experience in a healthcare setting, preferably ophthalmology.
• COA preferred.
• Internal applicants must qualify for Ophthalmic Tech II with leadership recommendation.

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries with provider, patient, and facility.
• Secure insurance authorizations and verify coverage.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and education.
• Explain surgical costs and available payment plans.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant, organized scheduling and patient records.
