Job summary

Northwest Eyes in Seattle is seeking a Patient Concierge to provide exceptional front-desk and registration support in a fast-paced ophthalmic practice.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting demographic and financial information, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and maintaining tidy reception areas. A high school diploma and healthcare office experience are preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills a must.

Qualifications

• Basic math and cash handling proficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Windows.
• Willing to help in all areas and work well in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, register them, collect demographics and financial information, and collect co-pays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with paperwork, handling escalated encounters.
• Schedule provider appointments and coordinate pre-certifications and interpreters when needed.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and balance daily cash transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash records and balance against daily transactions.
• Keep waiting area tidy and stocked with supplies and materials.
• Maintain familiarity with office equipment and manage inventory and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain electronic medical charts and registration materials per policy.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient records and handling of information.
• Track and order supplies as required and perform other duties as needed.
