US Eye in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Patient Care Representative to serve as the first and last point of contact for patients. You will be polite, attentive, and organized to enhance the overall patient experience in a fast-paced medical office.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with Microsoft Office, and prior customer service experience. Travel to other locations may be required; this is a full-time position located on-site in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Must be able to work under pressure and respond to patient requests in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all patients, visitors, and staff upon entry of the practice.
• Provide a pleasant, prompt check-in experience for all patients by verifying information and assisting with forms.
• Print daily schedules for team/physician and assist with appointment flow.
• Attend to walk-in patients, scheduling inquiries, and prescription/record pickup as needed.
• Disseminate pertinent information using telephone systems and/or computer software.
• Cross-check and update next-day charts as per appointment schedule.
• Maintain an orderly workspace ensuring safety and integrity for patients and staff.
• Complete appointment confirmation calls as scheduled.
• Collect co-pays, non-covered service fees, and balances during checkout.
• Fill out essential reports and forms; perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of materials, methods, instruments, and equipment.
