Job summary

Luxottica is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and support the optometrist with examinations and patient flow. You will ensure accurate patient data entry, maintain records, and help link the doctor with in-store retail operations.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while upholding HIPAA and clinic protocols.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image and greet patients promptly.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with care; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain and organize patient records and input data into the CIAO system.
• Support retention and scheduling of exams, including calls and reminders.
• Manage contact lens orders and inventory in the exam rooms.
• Provide coaching on contact lens care and handling.
