Luxottica’s LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmic exams and patient care. The role emphasizes accurate data handling, appointment support, and collaborative work with the optometrist and retail teams.

The position requires strong customer service, good communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment; strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations; obtain medical history and prepare patient for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs and consult with team when necessary.
• Handle and file all patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Maintain inventory and assist with contact lens room and eyewear displays.
