Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and support the optometrist during exams. You will greet patients, collect medical history, prepare them for testing, and help ensure accurate measurements and a smooth patient flow.

This role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, HIPAA compliance, and meticulous records management in a fast-paced retail-optical environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations, including taking medical history and preparing the patient.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs and consult with appropriate staff when necessary.
• Handle patient records per HIPAA and maintain accurate documentation.
