Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and support the optometrist during eye examinations. You will help gather medical history, prepare patients, and ensure accurate documentation and patient flow.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, assisting with exams, managing records securely, and supporting contact lens operations while maintaining a professional store image.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs and consult with staff as needed.
• Maintain patient records in a HIPAA-compliant, organized manner.
• Assist with contact lens orders and maintain contact lens room in order.
