Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience by supporting exam processes, patient prep, and data entry. You will work closely with the optometrist, manage records, and help ensure a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced retail eye care environment.

The role emphasizes accurate testing, friendly patient interactions, and meticulous handling of prescriptions, insurance and scheduling within HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image and greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information and note special needs.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards.
• Support the retention and scheduling of exams and contact lens orders.
• Operate CIAO system for data entry and billing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam lanes and contact lens areas.
