Job summary

LensCrafters is hiring an Optometric Technician to support the optometrist during eye examinations and deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet patients, collect medical history, and prepare them for exams, while ensuring accurate records and compliance with HIPAA.

This part-time role focuses on excellent patient service, teamwork with the doctor and retail staff, and maintaining orderly exam rooms and inventory. Training provided; opportunities to grow within Eyewear care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy; identify special needs.
• Support retention and cultivation of exams and follow-up calls.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Handle inventory and assist with contact lens room management.
• Input patient data and services into the clinic system with accuracy.
