Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and support the optometrist during exams. You will ensure high-quality patient care, manage records, and assist with contact lens operations in a fast-paced retail-optical setting.

You will handle pre-exam testing, communicate effectively with patients, and help maintain inventory and equipment while upholding HIPAA and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients for examination.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; identify special needs and consult when necessary.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Input patient data, insurance information and services into the CIAO system accurately.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and contact lenses in exam rooms.
