ABC Supply is recruiting Outside Sales Representatives to sell residential and commercial building materials to contractor customers. The role focuses on cultivating relationships, leveraging exclusive sales tools, and identifying new opportunities in business-to-business selling.

Qualifications

• Previous building materials, lumberyard, and/or construction experience
• Ability to read construction blueprints and perform take-offs
• Experience in purchasing is preferred
• EPOS software experience is a plus
• College degree (Business, Sales or related field) or equivalent work experience
• Industry knowledge of product lines and contractor processes preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, pass MVR, and insurance meeting company requirements
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Superior time management and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage customer relationships
• Utilize sales reports and data to recognize sales opportunities
• Make cold calls to prospective customers
• Follow leads and schedule appointments with prospective customers
• Provide solutions when service concerns arise
• Provide training to customers and their teams on product lines and services
• Assist customers in the credit application process
• Connect with customers to ensure past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
