Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. seeks a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field-installed instrumentation and control panels, following NEC, UL 508A & 698A standards and site drawings.

You will verify components, test circuits, and document findings, ensuring safety and compliance in industrial environments. Candidates should have an AA in Electrical Technology or related two-year degree, 5+ years of experience, a State Journeyman License, and the ability to test

Qualifications

• AA in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• State Journeyman License.
• Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V safety-compliant systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports illustrating opportunities for improvement based on findings.
• Communicate to team members on how to improve performance based on quality inspections.
• Analyze quality findings and provide corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Properly use electrical test equipment and similar tools.
• Visually verify BOMs for panels and instrumentation devices.
• Visually verify, test electrical components, and trace wiring origins and designations.
