Job summary

Motion Industries in Illinois seeks a Customer Service Representative II to respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and process orders by phone, email, fax, or in person. This role supports customers, negotiates prices within parameters, and helps ensure on-time delivery.

You will maintain inventory awareness, resolve issues, and mentor less experienced reps. A HS diploma and 3–5 years' related experience are typical; strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Reliability, organization, and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and ability to negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, or walk-in; expedite backorders when needed.
• Negotiate price within parameters to influence gross profit and meet customer demands.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and relay customer needs for process improvements.
• Sourcing products from branch, DC, or supplier inventory to fulfill orders.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods and handle returns when necessary.
• Assist less experienced representatives and support specific customers.
