Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Augusta, GA seeks a Chief Workshop Manager to lead workshop operations, drive guest experiences, and achieve financial goals.

You will coach AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders, manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ensure brand standards and safety. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring hiring, development, and retention of a high‑performing team across typical retail hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance through coaching and scheduling to achieve targets.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with oversight from the Assistant Workshop Manager.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM regarding staff advancement.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and escalate issues to DM/HR as required by policy.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and maintain a cohesive store environment.
• Oversee inventory management including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Build a high-performing team with the AWM to deliver a superior guest experience.
