Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Chief Workshop Manager to drive overall workshop success, guest experience, and a high‑performing team. You will lead payroll, scheduling, and financial targets while ensuring policy adherence and brand standards.

Responsibilities include coaching leaders, making hiring decisions, managing inventory, and maintaining security and cash controls. The role requires strong leadership in a dynamic retail environment and a focus on Experience First culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer‑centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance)

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance by coaching AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders to deliver an exceptional Guest experience.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with the AWM; direct their work and priorities.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and discipline in coordination with DM/HR when needed.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and manage inventory processes.
