Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Chief Workshop Manager to lead the workshop, drive an exceptional Guest experience, and guide a high-performing team to meet financial goals and brand standards. The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, payroll, and strong leadership across shifts.

The CWM will hire and promote staff with input from the Assistant Workshop Manager, enforce policies, and ensure safe, engaging store operations while maintaining merchandising and inventory excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience with a proven, successful history in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance by coaching AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with the AWM's assistance.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and manage store security and cash handling.
• Oversee merchandising displays and maintain brand standards.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Build and develop a high-performing team with the AWM.
