Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Chief Workshop Manager to lead the workshop operations, drive Guest satisfaction, and manage a high-performing team. You will oversee scheduling, payroll, and compliance with brand standards to achieve financial goals.

The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering an Experience First culture across guests and associates in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using POS, scheduling, HRIS, and time and attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance by coaching AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders to deliver an exceptional Guest experience.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with the AWM, directing work and breaks.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM for applicant selection and staff advancement.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and escalate violations to DM/HR as required.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
• Oversee inventory management including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Build and develop a high-performing team with the AWM.
