Job summary

The Balfour Hotel Miami Beach is seeking an Executive Meeting Manager to proactively prospect, facilitate, and close group and catering opportunities while overseeing event execution. The role requires strong selling skills, excellent communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include attaining revenue goals, contract reviews, event planning, and rapid response to leads.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required with at least 1 year of experience in sales roles such as Sales Manager or Catering Sales Manager.
• Experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
• Experience in internet research and database mining.
• Strong verbal and written communication for negotiation and influencing clients.

Responsibilities

• Attain assigned sales and revenue goals and solicitation call targets.
• Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
• Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s regulations, standards and metrics.
• Develop knowledge of hotel operations and applicable department policies.
• Follow event management procedures including BEO creation, F&B forecasting, and room block management.
• Prepare and review catering contracts and banquet/catering event orders.
• Identify customer needs and respond accordingly.
• Prospect for new business using diverse tools and creativity.
• Weigh business value against hotel objectives at RevMax daily meetings.
• Use yield management to negotiate room rates and function space to maximize revenue.
• Leverage Revenue Management insights to inform decisions on occupancy and revenue.
• Understand sales strategies of competitor hotels and capitalize on strengths.
• Identify process improvements to sales systems.
• Respond to leads and RFPs within 24 hours.
• Maintain timely internal hotel communication.
• Conduct site inspections and local sales calls and attend trade shows.
• Promote hotel through community involvement.
• Maintain visibility in local community and industry groups.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as requested.
