Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks a Senior Event Manager to plan and deliver high-profile, multiday programs for a dedicated Experience Studio team. You will manage budgets above $1 million, partner with producers, and lead onsite teams across weeks and multiple programs.

You will coordinate hotels, venues, transport, and attendee communications in a client environment, coaching junior planners and ensuring flawless execution for executives and VIP audiences.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years planning corporate meetings, events, and incentives.
• Budgets above $1 million managed with accuracy and reconciliation.
• Experience delivering multiday executive programs for 500+ attendees.
• Experience as planning lead beside a producer or senior client event owner.
• Strong hotel and supplier contract skills: attrition, cancellation terms, minimums.
• Solid knowledge of Cvent and enterprise project tools in client environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver complex programs from kickoff through onsite execution.
• Act as planning lead beside the producer, translating briefs into actionable plans.
• Manage program budgets from initial estimates through final reconciliation.
• Create and maintain a detailed planning calendar and track dates.
• Oversee hotels, venues, transport, F&B, and destination partners per rules.
• Coordinate Attendee Experience: registration, housing, and communications in Cvent.
• Lead onsite logistics with teams of 10+ during multi-week programs.
• Mentor Event Managers, review plans and coach for peak periods.
• Document planning files and provide post-program recommendations.
• Raise scope, budget, and resourcing risks early with recommendations.
