Job summary

BEST Crowd Management, at the University of Idaho, is seeking part-time Event Services Staff to greet attendees, assist with setup, monitor spaces, direct guests, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, excellent communication, reliability, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma is preferred, with some college advantageous.

Pay is $18 per hour with growth and training opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (some college education is preferred).
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event-related roles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting event attendees.
• Assist with event set-up, including equipment arrangement and signage placement.
• Monitor event areas for cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Answer questions and provide information about the event and facilities.
• Direct attendees to seating, restrooms, concessions, and exits.
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues professionally.
