Job summary

BEST Crowd Management at the University of Idaho is seeking an Event Staff/Security for on-site, part-time work. You will greet attendees, assist with setup and guiding guests, while upholding safety and high service standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication, reliability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Prior event or hospitality experience is a plus. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Customer service and hospitality experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist event attendees with a friendly demeanor.
• Assist with event setup, equipment and signage placement.
• Monitor areas for cleanliness, order, and policy compliance.
• Provide information about the event, facilities and amenities.
• Direct attendees to seating, restrooms, concessions and exits.
• Handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff, vendors and teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with crowd control measures to maintain safety.
