Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access Services in the Admitting Department for Mount Sinai Hospital. This role oversees frontline Patient Access staff across assigned service areas, ensures accurate patient registration, insurance capture, and financial clearance, and delivers a positive patient experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Reporting to the Manager of Patient Access Services, the Supervisor maintains operational efficiency and staff performance

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or hospital registration.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely registration and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate issues to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Maintain knowledge of registration and financial clearance workflows.
