Job summary

Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access Services-Admitting for full-time day shifts. You will oversee frontline Patient Access staff across hospital service areas, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance capture, and financial clearance, while delivering a positive patient experience.

The role reports to the Manager of Patient Access Services and emphasizes operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and staff development, with coaching on service standards

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure accurate registration and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support HIPAA privacy and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
