Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Supervisor for Patient Access Services to oversee frontline staff in a hospital setting, with responsibilities across service areas as needed. The role ensures accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and efficient financial clearance while maintaining a positive patient experience.

Under the Manager, you will supervise scheduling, training, and performance feedback, supporting onboarding and coaching to uphold service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or hospital registration required.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure accurate registration and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and provide real-time feedback.
• Escalate issues and assist with staffing to ensure coverage.
• Supervise front-line representatives, including scheduling and performance feedback.
• Coach staff on customer service standards (AIDET) and registration accuracy.
• Collaborate with clinical units to resolve access-related issues.
