Job summary

Eaton in Sumter, SC is hiring a Mission Critical SWBD Assembler - B Crew. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am, at $16.00 per hour. Eligible for employee variable incentive program. Salary guidance subject to skills and market factors.

You will read blueprints, install components with hand and power tools, and collaborate with teammates to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals in a Lean environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, calipers).
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Select and install components using hand and power tools.
• Read drawings/diagrams/blueprints to assemble switchboards.
• Communicate and work with team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Identify missing components and proactively address part shortages.
• Suggest process improvements and perform root cause analysis.
• Perform visual inspections and troubleshoot defects.
• Cross-train and stand in for other roles as needed.
