Job summary

Eaton's Mission Critical facility in Sumter, SC is seeking a MC Bus Assembly - B Crew. The role runs Mon-Thu, 3:00pm-1:00am, with starting pay of $16.50 per hour. You will work from blueprints and BOMs to assemble switchboard components, inspect quality, and support continuous improvement in a lean environment.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to read blueprints, and use measuring tools. Local candidates within Sumter area preferred; no relocation offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with reading blueprints/manufacturing diagrams preferred.
• Experience with measuring devices (tape measure/calipers) desired.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal bus bars and switchboard components from blueprints and BOMs.
• Follow procedures and use hand tools to ensure accurate material installation.
• Identify missing parts and communicate shortages or problems.
• Support process improvements and perform root cause analysis when quality issues arise.
• Perform quality checks and visual inspections before and after assembly; troubleshoot defects.
• Maintain 5S and safe work practices; operate equipment per safety guidelines.
• Cross-train and cover for other roles as needed.
