Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for Building Operations to lead the evening shift in a Connecticut facility. You will oversee clinical and operational workflow from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut.
• 2–3 years of nursing experience in SNF/LTC or sub-acute settings.
• Supervisory or unit leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and decision-making under pressure.
• Proficiency with PointClickCare EMR.

Responsibilities

• Build-Wide Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate nursing operations across all facility units during the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, M–F).
• Triage & Emergency Command: Act as the primary clinical decision-maker for acute resident status changes, emergency transfers, and events during off-peak hours.
• Comprehensive Facility Rounds: Conduct rounds to oversee evening nursing care, meds administration, infection control, and chart documentation.
• Shift Staffing & Resource Management: Adjust staffing to maintain adequate coverage and balance workload.
• Admissions & Shift Handoffs: Oversee evening admissions, room placements, and physician order entries; conduct handoffs with overnight leadership.
• Mentorship & Accountability: Coach and direct evening RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, modeling professional standards.
• Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure documentation adheres to DPH and CMS guidelines; report incidents promptly.
