Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor (Building Oversight) for the evening shift at a Connecticut healthcare and senior living facility.

The role oversees clinical and operational workflow from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, serving as the primary clinical leader on duty to ensure resident-centered care and regulatory compliance. The position requires an active CT RN license, 2–3 years in SNF/LTC, supervisory experience, and strong EMR skills (PointClickCare)

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or sub-acute rehabilitation environment.
• Prior supervisory, house supervisor, unit manager, desk nurse, or charge nurse experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred.
• Strong clinical prioritization and autonomy with ability to make rapid decisions across a multi-unit facility.
• Proficiency using Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for clinical tracking, order processing, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build-Wide Operational Leadership: supervise and coordinate nursing operations across all facility units during the evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, M–F).
• Triage & Emergency Command: act as primary clinical decision-maker for acute resident status changes and emergencies.
• Comprehensive Facility Rounds: oversee evening nursing care, medication administration, infection control, and charting.
• Shift Staffing & Resource Management: adjust assignments to maintain adequate coverage and balance workload.
• Admissions & Shift Handoffs: manage evening admissions, room placements, and physician orders; conduct handoffs.
• Mentorship & Accountability: coach RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to uphold professional standards.
• Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: ensure documentation adheres to Connecticut DPH and CMS guidelines; report incidents.
