Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) is seeking a Supervisor of Patient Access Services in the Admitting Department at Mount Sinai West. Responsibilities include oversight of daily access activities, staff coaching, and collaboration with internal departments to resolve issues, all while adhering to HIPAA and union requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Patient Access or hospital registration.
• Experience in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
