Job summary

Mount Sinai West is seeking a Supervisor for Patient Access Services in the Admitting Department. This full-time, evening shift role oversees frontline staff, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while maintaining high patient experience standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in Patient Access, basic leadership experience, and familiarity with EPIC. Collaborative teamwork and adherence to HIPAA are essential in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle in a hospital setting.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support HIPAA privacy and security standards compliance.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
