Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department to ensure an exceptional patient experience from arrival to departure. Responsibilities include registration, insurance eligibility, and cash collection, with cross-training across front desk, admitting, ED, and cashier duties.

You will participate in a 2-week Epic training on-site at Stow Health and Wellness Center, then work the assigned schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of customer-facing experience, or higher degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to understand physician orders.
• Proficient in basic PC software and multiple data systems.
• Ability to work in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration and collect demographics, insurance, and payment information.
• Cross-train to staff all patient access areas (front desk, admitting, ED, cash register).
• Serve as Super User and assist training of new caregivers.
• Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
