Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients and providers to relay information
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities and interruptions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient records
• Problem-solving for scheduling conflicts and missing documentation
• Compassionate approach to patients and caregivers
• Understand the importance of patient PHI confidentiality
• Basic knowledge of electronic health records and medical terminology (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Check patients in/out for visits
• Answer phone/mail patient inquiries and schedule appointments
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and use
• Enter/update/validate patient demographic, insurance, and financial data
• Communicate information to care team
• Contact insurers for coverage/preauthorizations as needed
• Collect and process copays and balances
• Assist with paperwork and forms
• Work EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages
• Schedule referrals and follow-ups
• Scan documents into EPIC accurately
