Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact with patients, providing exceptional customer service and accurate data collection. The role involves scheduling, verification of benefits, pre-certification, and financial clearance to ensure smooth patient entry into Mercy facilities.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of clerical or customer service experience, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans, and a High School diploma (some college helpful).

Formación

• Clerical experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance.
• Collect and document patient data accurately in the patient record.
• Explain financial responsibilities and payment options to patients; document outcomes of conversations.
• Coordinate with departments to facilitate smooth patient access at Mercy facilities.
