Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients across Mercy facilities. You will schedule appointments, handle registration, verify benefits, obtain pre-certifications, and secure financial clearance including pre-visit collection.

You will ensure accurate patient information is entered into the system, communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and insurance providers, and uphold Mercy Service Standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years clerical experience and customer service preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage registration.
• Verify insurance benefits and pre-certification for financial clearance.
• Perform pre-visit collection and ensure accurate data in patient records.
• Coordinate with patients, physicians, and insurance companies.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare guidelines and accreditation requirements.
