Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will handle scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance while ensuring accurate patient data and clear communication of financial responsibility.

The role requires strong clerical and customer service skills, familiarity with insurance plans and medical terminology, and a high school diploma (some college helpful).

Formación

• 1-3 years clerical experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule, register, verify benefits, pre-certify and obtain financial clearance for patients.
• Ensure accurate patient data is entered into the record.
• Explain financial responsibilities, request payment, and discuss payment options and financial assistance resources.
• Document outcomes of required financial conversations and referrals as needed.
