Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative for evening shifts in our outpatient and Emergency Department locations.

You will perform patient registration, verify insurance, and coordinate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure a smooth patient experience. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, strong customer service, solid computer skills, and familiarity with Epic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate/degree in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify and register patients in the hospital information system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect point-of-service payments.
• Enter demographics, diagnoses, orders, and provider information.
• Coordinate with departments and practices to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Cross-train in all areas of location or region and travel between campuses as needed.
