BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. seeks a Closing Manager to lead the club’s evening operations, directing the Recovery, Utility, and Perishables teams while upholding GOLD standards and member service. This role includes auditing, training, and ensuring food safety and operational excellence.

A ServSafe certification is required and forklift certification is needed for some locations. The Closing Manager acts as MOD when needed, delivers strong leadership, and partners with club leadership to drive

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations required.
• Experience in inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• Forklift Certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must maintain all training and required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Own end-of-day execution for Recovery, Perishables, and Overnight prep.
• Lead by presence and coach Assistant Closing Manager and teams.
• Maintain GOLD standards and ensure club readiness for reopening.
• Monitor equipment, sanitation, and safety compliance daily.
• Coach onboarding, certifications, and department training.
• Collaborate with Club Manager and Department Leads to improve closing routines.
